Esther exceeded my expectations! I went into labor before we had our prenatal sessions but I was pleasantly surprised by how well we worked together! She was attentive and provided me with all the information I needed as the labor progressed and was able to keep me comfortable for the entire labor using different techniques! My postpartum experience has also been great from her checking in on us to her helping me realize I have what it takes to breastfeed my baby when I had started to give up and opt to pumping! Because by the time you are done reading many reviews (like I do before booking any one) someone's already booked her and she can't assist you because your due date falls on the same date as someone else! Danmmm! Now my story: I learned about Esther through my wife's OB and it was one of the best decisions I made for my family. Esther had not worked with my OB particularly but they had heard great things about each other. So I got her information and did some research. After speaking to a couple of doulas, she was the only one that didn't feel "commercial". What confirmed Esther was the right choice for my family was that my sister coincidentally met Esther at a business function and she as well got some great feedback and recommended that we call Esther. Our initial meeting with Esther was professional and friendly. She spoke about her role as a Doula, what we should expect from her, what to expect from ourselves and she answered all our questions. My Wife liked Esther but was hesitant because she wanted to use the money for the Baby instead. After Esther's call I knew that she was the one to help us navigate this new journey. My wife is a GEM, she sometimes minimizes herself for me and already for our baby. So it didn't matter what my wife said, I was going to hire Esther regardless of what she said so I did!
